Luminaries supports staff member Nazmin Akter after Korail slum fire

Luminaries Research Ltd. has provided financial assistance to Nazmin Akter, a cook at Luminaries, whose family was directly affected by the recent fire at Korail Slum.

Nazmin Akter and her family had been living in Korail, where the devastating fire destroyed their home and most of their household belongings, leaving them temporarily homeless. The incident caused significant disruption to the family’s life and livelihood.

Both Nazmin Akter and her husband contribute to the family income. While her husband works as a truck driver, Nazmin Akter supports her family through her work at Luminaries. The sudden loss of their home and possessions has placed considerable financial and emotional strain on the family, which includes four children.

In response to the situation, Luminaries Research Ltd. extended a monetary donation to Nazmin Akter to help her family manage immediate needs such as temporary shelter, food, clothing, and other essentials during this difficult period.
